President of Uzbekistan receives EU Special Envoy

As part of the program of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with a delegation of the European Union headed by Special Envoy for Sanctions David O'Sullivan.

Various aspects of the multifaceted partnership between Uzbekistan and the EU, primarily in the trade and economic sphere, were considered.

The growth of mutual trade volumes observed in recent years, an increase in the number of joint ventures and investment projects implemented under the conditions of the EU preferential system "GSP+" were noted with satisfaction.

There was also an exchange of views on topical issues on the international agenda.
