The President of Uzbekistan supported the innovative projects of ACWA Power

Issues of implementation of current projects and opportunities for cardinal expansion of partnership were discussed at the meeting of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the Chairman of the Board of the Saudi company "ACWA Power" Muhammad Abdullah Abunayyan, held on the sidelines of the investment forum.

The Head of our state noted with satisfaction the fruitful cooperation with the Saudi company, which is the largest investor in the development of the green energy sector of Uzbekistan.

Currently, projects worth 7.5 billion dollars are being implemented in the field of alternative energy. In addition, new projects for the construction of solar and wind power plants and the production of "green" hydrogen are being actively prepared.

During the conversation, prospects for further deepening cooperation, primarily the promotion of innovative projects, including within the framework of the Uzbek-Saudi Business Council, were discussed.
