President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received French Presidential Adviser Isabelle Dumont on April 3. The issues of practical implementation of the agreements at the highest level and prospects for expanding the comprehensive partnership of the two countries were considered.
The distinguished guest conveyed sincere greetings and a personal written message from French President Emmanuel Macron to the head of our state.
The meeting highlighted the importance of maintaining active political contacts, increasing the volume of mutual trade, promoting major cooperation projects with leading companies and banks in France in such areas as "green" energy, mining sector, agriculture, textile industry, modernization of the water supply system, transport and tourism infrastructure.
The successful holding of cultural events and exhibitions at the Louvre Museum and the Institute of the Arab World in Paris was highly appreciated. The issues of expanding the study of the French language in schools of Uzbekistan were also considered.
The sides exchanged views on topical aspects of regional cooperation in Central Asia.
