The President met with Khorezm farmers

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the field of the Khorazm Fakhri seed cluster in Yangibazar district.

The total land area of this cluster is 286 hectares, of which 147 are sown with cereals, 122 hectares with cotton. The number of permanent employees is 45 people.

The Head of State examined the development of crops, asked about the varieties of wheat and cotton grown, the yield of fruit trees.

As you know, Khorezm is a low-water region. Therefore, measures are being taken here to use water-saving technologies in agriculture. Part of the wheat field is irrigated by sprinkling. And such agricultural crops as carrots, onions and turnips are planted between the rows of the new apple orchard.

The President stressed that it is necessary to spread such experience of effective land management.

In our country, the areas exempt from grain are provided to the unemployed for the cultivation of repeat crops. In the Khorazm Fakhri seed cluster, 80 local residents have been allocated 30 hectares of such allotments for growing vegetables. This year it is planned to allocate land to 26 more unemployed people.

Here, the President also talked with agricultural workers, representatives of farms and dehkan farms. The importance of growing crops corresponding to the soil conditions of Khorezm, as well as the industrialization of agriculture, was noted.
