A solid foundation for the prosperous life of our homeland and our people



It was previously reported that the next session of the Legislative Chamber of the House of Commons continued its work. In it, the issue of holding a referendum on the draft Constitutional Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan was considered in detail.

The session was also attended by active citizens who put forward the best proposals in the development of the Constitutional Bill. 
It should be noted that during the session held yesterday, a number of proposals, feedback on its further improvement were made by the deputies during the article-by-Article review of the bill. The committees in charge carefully and thoroughly analyzed each proposal, reflecting most of them in the text of the project.
At the meeting, the rules of passage of the Constitutional Bill were discussed article by Article.
The terms and procedure for the entry into force of amendments and additions to the Constitution are established in detail by these rules.
On the basis of the proposals made at the meeting, it was said that the norms of the Constitutional Bill were improved and finalized, and gratitude was expressed to the members of the Constitutional Commission and deputies who took an active part in the process.
The speakers singled out the fact that the constitutional reform was carried out by referendum on the basis of the opinion and support of our citizens, literally as an expression of the will of our people-the adoption of a real people's Constitution. 
The deputies also supported the issue of setting the date of the referendum on the constitutional bill as April 30, 2023, as well as obtaining the conclusion of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the decision of the Legislative Chamber of the Supreme Assembly to hold the referendum.
It was noted that the updated constitution will create the foundations of social, democratic-legal and truly folk-friendly statehood, increase the well-being of the population, further raise human rights and interests, dignity and become an important factor in liberalizing all spheres of life and ushering in a new era in the development of New Uzbekistan.
At the end of the session, a decision was made by the deputies to hold a referendum on the draft Constitutional Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The Legislative Assembly also expressed gratitude to the citizens who put forward the best proposals in the drafting of the Constitutional Bill.
