President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Higher Military Aviation School.
The school was established in 1994. However, in Jizzakh, where it was located earlier, there were not enough conditions for training pilots.
In 2018, when the head of state visited the Khanabad military airfield in Karshi district, he proposed to effectively use the capabilities of the airfield for training military pilots. So the Higher Military Aviation School in 2019 was relocated to the city of Karshi. The training buildings were equipped with modern simulators, equipment and information technologies.
This allows cadets to conduct training on the management and maintenance of combat aircraft at the Khanabad airfield, as well as conduct flight training directly at the training grounds. The preflight training center and information resource center, training laboratories in 4 specialties serve to increase the level of professionalism of military pilots.
The cadets have at their disposal a cultural center for 120 seats, a dormitory for 400 seats, a kitchen, a drill ground and a sports town. Currently, 276 cadets are studying here.
The President got acquainted with the conditions at the school. In a conversation with young people, the importance of mastering foreign languages and modern technologies together with the specialty was emphasized.
- The strength of each state is indicated by its defense. Defense is provided by such as you educated, purposeful, persistent military, engineers and pilots. To be worthy of this title, you need to constantly study, work on yourself and comprehensively hone your skills," Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
The Supreme Commander-in-Chief had lunch with the cadets in the school canteen. I watched sports and educational classes. A demonstration flight of military aviation with the participation of fighters, attack aircraft, transport aircraft and combat helicopters took place in the sky above the school.
The responsible persons were instructed to further strengthen air defense based on the challenges observed in the world, to establish an experimental assembly of unmanned aerial vehicles. It is pointed out the need to improve the activities of the school taking into account these factors, the implementation of joint educational programs with foreign institutions.
