President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has visited the Rabotikalmok makhalla in Bukhara District and got acquainted with people’s life.
A total of over 9,000 people live in the makhalla. The outcomes of the targeted work at the grassroots level are reflected at this makhalla as well. An entrepreneurship is actively developing and work places are growing. In particular, a sewing enterprise has been established on a formerly vacant area. As a result, more than 30 women of this makhalla have been employed. In spite of the fact that the enterprise has recently opened, it has already received orders for 100 thousand knitted garments.
The President got acquainted with the activities of this enterprise and conversed with the workers.
«I am gratified to see the changes taking place at this makhalla and the fact that you have been provided with jobs. This is a small outcome of our joint efforts with the people. If the khokimiyat (the governor’s and mayor’s office) and organizations create conditions, if every family can secure their livelihood, then I shall believe I have reached my goal. Then our large family, our state, will stand stronger» the President has said.
The President has also visited an exhibition of products made by the local craftswomen and businesswomen. They told the President how their factories and home-based workshops provide jobs for women. The President instructed the officials in charge to support them in their activities.
More than 10 trade and service points are located in Rabotikalmok makhalla, as well as a service center for entrepreneurs. The building of the makhalla citizen’s assembly has been overhauled. A chaikhana (cafe), library, sports ground, saunas and avenues have been set up to provide the residents with interesting leisure activities.
The President became familiar with these facilities and paid a visit to the family of Bakhtiyor Pulatov.
