Our country's embassy in Beijing organized an event with the participation of compatriots in China in support of the Uzbekistan national team participating in the World Cup.
The event was attended by students from Chinese universities, compatriots employed and temporarily residing in the country, as well as heads of foreign diplomatic missions.
During the conversation with compatriots, the reforms implemented by our government were discussed, in particular, the conditions created for comprehensive support of youth, education, and labor, as well as opportunities for young people to participate in sports.
It was noted that the fact that June 30th has been declared Youth Day in our country also demonstrates that youth is at the center of state reforms. In particular, it was emphasized that the high positions of our athletes on the global stage are also a result of the rational policies pursued in Uzbekistan. Afterwards, our compatriots watched our national team's match against Colombia with great interest on a large LED screen installed in the embassy, wearing specially designed T-shirts.
The Uzbek national team's participation in the World Cup for the first time evoked a sense of pride and honor among those present. Our compatriots actively supported the tense and exciting football match.
Our compatriots gathered around the table and enjoyed Uzbek national dishes.
Akhadzhon Jumaboev, student at the China University of International Trade and Economics:

Our athletes played their first match against Colombia and put on a truly spectacular performance. They gave all football fans a true sporting celebration.
We also actively supported our national team. I wish our athletes good luck in the upcoming games.
It's a joy to see our country's flag flying high on the world stage.
