Leaders of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan hold telephone talks

On February 10, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.

Issues related to further strengthening the Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations of friendship, good-neighborliness, and comprehensive strategic partnership were considered.

The steady dynamics of trade turnover were noted with satisfaction. Industrial cooperation projects are being implemented, and joint efforts on major infrastructure projects, including the construction of the China–Kyrgyzstan–Uzbekistan railway and the Kambarata hydropower project, are continuing.

The presidents also exchanged views on current aspects of the regional agenda and discussed the schedule of upcoming bilateral and multilateral events.
