The President reviews the presentation of ongoing projects in New Tashkent

The Head of State visited the Directorate for the Construction of New Tashkent and reviewed a presentation on ongoing and prospective construction projects in the city.

The first stone in the foundation of this city was laid in 2023. A total of 19,700 hectares of land in the Yukorichirchik and Urtachirchik districts were allocated for the project. The concept was developed by the British company Cross Works. Currently, more than 100 projects of various scales are being actively implemented here. Each initiative is based on international standards and modern trends in urban planning.

The outlines of large-scale structures are gradually beginning to emerge. By the end of 2025, the area of work in the new city reached 3 million square meters.

The construction of several residential complexes has entered its final stage. Work on infrastructure facilities is progressing dynamically.

In the first stage, construction work will cover 6,000 hectares of land. As a result, it is planned to create a modern infrastructure for 600,000 people to live and work. Upon completion of the project, New Tashkent will become a huge metropolis designed for 2 million people.

Construction on this scale requires long-term and sustainable infrastructure. Currently, large underground utilities are being built on the site.

Single- and double-section collectors are being laid to ensure that all engineering networks – heat supply, water supply, electricity supply, and telecommunications – are located underground.

Particular attention is being paid to the organization of modern transport links. It has been noted that the construction of tunnels and underground parking lots is of great importance for the city's transport system in the future.

A ten-kilometer coastal park is being created on the territory. One million shrubs and tree seedlings have been planted.

The Head of our state noted that “green” principles should play an important role in urban planning. Responsible officials have been given additional instructions to coordinate the movement of the metro and electric buses, as well as to create safe and barrier-free routes for pedestrians and cyclists.

Modern administrative buildings will be constructed on the territory of the new city for more than 60 government agencies. A number of ministries and agencies have already begun working in temporary complexes.

Investor activity is high. Investment agreements worth $2 billion have been signed for 24 commercial lots sold at auction. These funds will be used to build hotels, restaurants, service complexes, and buildings with unique architecture.

At the current stage of construction, 10,000 people are employed. Once the project is fully implemented, hundreds of thousands of high-paying permanent jobs based on innovative technologies are expected to be created.

The President of our country was presented with information about tourist facilities, service and entertainment complexes under construction in New Tashkent, as well as major investment and infrastructure projects planned in other regions of the country.

The Head of State emphasized that every initiative should be based on scientific achievements, reflect local color, and, most importantly, serve the interests of the people.
