Chinese experts familiarized themselves with the current state of Uzbek-Chinese relations

A roundtable discussion on Uzbekistan's international initiatives and the prospects for Uzbek-Chinese relations was held at our country's Embassy.

Representatives of leading Chinese think tanks, the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and media participated in the event.

The roundtable participants were briefed on the large-scale reforms being implemented in our country under the "Uzbekistan 2030" Strategy, aimed at further developing the country and improving the well-being of the people.

Special attention was paid to the international initiatives of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, announced at the UN General Assembly and the SCO summit.

Chinese experts were also briefed on the current state of Uzbek-Chinese relations, which demonstrate sustainable development dynamics, broadly covering key areas – from political dialogue and security to comprehensive trade and economic cooperation and cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

Participants were presented with a presentation on the country's trade, economic, investment, and tourism potential.

SCO Deputy Secretary-General Piao Yanfan:

"Today we were briefed on the current state of Uzbek-Chinese relations, as well as the successes and achievements of our joint work on multilateral platforms."

During the SCO Tianjin Summit, the President of Uzbekistan announced a number of important initiatives aimed at further strengthening cooperation between our organization's member countries. The SCO is making every effort to implement these initiatives, which are of common interest.

Beijing Dialogue Secretary-General Han Hua:

"The participants of today's roundtable were able to receive comprehensive information on the dynamics of China-Uzbekistan relations in 2025, the nature of cooperation on multilateral platforms, and the degree of support for mutual initiatives between our leaders.

I had the unique opportunity to visit beautiful Uzbekistan twice and personally witness the significant achievements in state-building." Particularly impressive are the sustained high GDP growth and the confident fight against poverty, based on China's experience.

The "Uzbekistan 2030" development strategy successfully aligns with China's development plans. In the future, both countries will not only continuously exchange experiences but also make an important contribution to the development of the Central Asian region by spreading a proven model of cooperation between neighboring countries."
