In China, Uzbekistan is recognized as the best place for cultural recreation

The World Leisure Awards 2024 ceremony was held in the capital of China, where Uzbekistan was recognized as the best destination for cultural recreation in 2024.

The event, organized by the Travel&leisure publication, was attended by representatives of foreign diplomatic missions, specialists from the tourism industry and the media of China.

The editor-in-chief and founder of the Travel&leisure publication Xiao Yang noted that Uzbekistan has great potential in the field of tourism and is one of the best places for travel. Unique architecture, historical monuments and tourist opportunities annually attract millions of guests from all over the world. She emphasized that in recent years, the number of Chinese tourists wishing to travel to Uzbekistan has also increased.

The participants of the event were also acquainted with the reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan in the field of tourism development. It was noted that, thanks to the attention paid by the state, new areas of tourism are developing in the country, infrastructure is improving, and recognition of Uzbekistan as a tourist center is increasing.

It was noted that 2025 has been declared the Year of Tourism of Uzbekistan in China, and within its framework, cultural events are being held in various cities of the country. In order to increase the flow of Chinese tourists to our country, the number of flights between cities has been doubled.

It was also reported that the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference in 2025 will be held in the city of Samarkand, which will be held outside Paris for the first time since 1985.
