Uzbekistan is an honorary guest of the international import exhibition in Shanghai

Uzbekistan is taking part in the 7th China International Import Exhibition in Shanghai as an honorary guest.

The International Exhibition of Imported Goods (China International Import Expo (CIIE) under the motto "A new Era, a common future" is organized annually from November 5 to 10 in Shanghai, starting in 2018. The event is held on the territory of the Shanghai National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC), the world's largest exhibition complex.

The current exhibition gathered about 3.5 thousand participants from 129 countries, as well as responsible representatives of more than 500 of the most prestigious industrial companies in the world. Over 400 products, modern technological tools and new types of services are presented at the EXPO.

During the speeches and presentations, the participants were familiarized with information about the ongoing large-scale reforms in Uzbekistan, the economic and investment opportunities of our country. The trade and economic attractiveness of the regions and their tourism potential were revealed, as well as favorable conditions and advantages created for foreign investors.

Within the framework of the EXPO, the national pavilion of Uzbekistan called "Made in Uzbekistan" was organized, where products of industry, geology, electrical engineering, building materials, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, tourism, information technology, light industry, agriculture and other goods from Uzbekistan are widely represented.

CIIE is China's largest import-oriented exhibition project designed to support the growth of global trade and become an effective platform for attracting potential Chinese importers of foreign products and services. The exhibition includes National pavilions, a zone of corporate and business expositions.

In an interview with the correspondent of the news agency "Doone", some participants of the exhibition shared their opinions.

- Today we are very pleased to have the opportunity to visit the national pavilion of Uzbekistan and take part in the International Exhibition of Imported Goods.

The pavilion of Uzbekistan is very beautifully decorated and has national characteristics. In addition, the goods presented at the exhibition are very rich, and many Chinese come to see them.

Over the years, relations between China and Uzbekistan have also been very good, and economic and trade relations have also developed rapidly. Uzbekistan is currently becoming increasingly popular in China. The Chinese are showing increasing interest in your country.

I am sure that thanks to this exhibition, the relations between our two countries will continue to strengthen.

Director of the company "Aziya Immunopreparat" Fathulloh Kahramonov:

- Our pharmaceutical company is taking part in the 7th International Exhibition of Imported Goods, held in the Chinese city of Shanghai. We have brought high-quality pharmaceutical products from Uzbekistan.

Last year, as part of our participation in the exhibition, we signed an agreement with a large Chinese company producing medical products. Today we are working together to expand the range of our products.

Along with our company from Uzbekistan, a number of domestic companies with a variety of national goods are taking part in the current exhibition.

The national pavilion of Uzbekistan presents agricultural products, food industry, silk, textiles, leather, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, electrical equipment and other goods from Uzbekistan.
