Uzbekistan is an honorary guest of the Xi'an International Film Festival

The grand opening of the 11th Silk Road International Film Festival took place in the Chinese city of Xi'an, Fujian Province.

The opening ceremony was attended by representatives of culture and the film industry, famous directors and actors, art historians from more than 30 countries.

This year, Uzbekistan became the guest of honor at the film festival. The delegation of our country, headed by the director of the Cinematography Agency Shukhrat Rizaev, is taking part in the film festival. The guests of the film festival will be able to see 8 films created by Uzbek cinematographers. Among them are "Baodir Yalangtysh", "101 flights", "Sizni Nima Dayman", "Uzbek Kizi" and others.

During the opening ceremony, it was noted that the Silk Road International Film Festival today is a large-scale and authoritative cultural platform that plays an important role in strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the countries.

This year, 2,065 paintings from 136 countries and regions of the world have been registered to participate in the festival. 24 films have reached the finals and will compete for the main prize of the Golden Silk Road. The winners will be selected in 10 nominations. Among them are "best film", "best director", "best actor and actress".

The "Uzbek Cinema Week" is taking place within the framework of the festival. The Uzbek films being shown attract a lot of attention from the audience.

The Silk Road International Film Festival is held annually. Xi'an City and Fuzhou City take turns hosting this major cultural event. The film Festival aims to promote cooperation and exchanges between filmmakers from China and foreign countries.
