An international cultural festival was held at the North China University of Technology, which was attended by representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan and fellow students studying at this university.
Welcoming the guests, the president of the university, Zhang Lifen, spoke about the activities and international cooperation of the university.
The festival, which was attended by representatives of diplomatic missions of foreign states, the media, professors and teachers, students from 41 countries and China studying at this university, presented the cultures and traditions of different countries.
Compatriots studying at this university demonstrated the cultural and tourist potential of our country, performed national songs and dances, and treated the participants to dishes of Uzbek national cuisine.
Uzbek diplomats familiarized the participants of the event with the reforms implemented in our country in the field of science and education in recent years, and the positive results achieved in these areas.
It was noted that in the future there are great opportunities for the development of ties in the field of education and research, as well as further expansion of exchanges between students, teachers and researchers.
Gratitude was also expressed for providing grants and scholarships to citizens of Uzbekistan to study at this higher educational institution. Currently, 16 Uzbek students are studying at the North China University of Technology.
The rector of the Chinese university stressed that he pays great attention to cooperation in the field of education with the Uzbek side and said that the leadership of the North China University of Technology actively participated in the Uzbek-Chinese Educational Forum, held for the first time in Beijing in January this year.
Following the talks with the leadership of the Chinese University, an agreement was reached to hold a symposium in September 2024 with the participation of rectors of more than 20 universities in Uzbekistan.
