Culture, education and tourism of Uzbekistan are represented at the Beijing University of Language and Culture

The 19th World International Cultural Festival was held at the Beijing University of Language and Culture.

At the opening ceremony of the cultural festival, University President Duan Peng congratulated the participants and informed them about the university's activities and international cooperation.

The festival was attended by university professors and lecturers, employees of about 50 diplomatic missions in Beijing, more than 30 media representatives and bloggers, foreign students from 103 countries, Chinese students and representatives of the local population.

The participants enjoyed the endless charm of world cultural diversity and cultural integration while watching the performances of international students.

The diplomats of Uzbekistan had a friendly conversation with representatives of the university and foreign colleagues and noted that this conference serves as an important platform for international students to better understand mutual customs, traditions and cultures.

As part of the festive event, a national corner of Uzbekistan was organized together with fellow students studying at this university. This contributed to the development of culture and tourism potential of our country.

The participants noted that in recent years, cooperation between Uzbekistan and China has intensified in the fields of education, science, culture, public diplomacy, sports and tourism.

During the talks, it was also noted that the strengthening of the atmosphere of interethnic harmony in society and the development of friendly relations with foreign countries are important goals of the Strategy "Uzbekistan-2030".

In particular, it was reported that in Uzbekistan in October 2023 and in China in January 2024, the Days of Culture of the two countries were held, and on January 22 of this year, an Uzbek-Chinese educational forum with the participation of more than 100 universities was successfully held in Beijing.

Following the event, Uzbek diplomats donated to the university library a collection of poems and ghazals by Alisher Navoi, translated into Chinese.
