A presentation of the trade, economic and tourism potential of the Khorezm region was held in the Chinese city of Nanning

As part of the visit of the delegation of the Khorezm Region to China, a presentation of the trade, economic, investment and tourism potential of Khorezm was held in the city of Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The event was attended by representatives of about 200 companies, trade, economic and tourism associations, business circles and the media of the region, organized by the Embassy of our country, the Consulate General in Guangzhou, the Government of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the Association for the Development of International Trade.

The main purpose of the event was to further expand cooperation and exchanges between the regions of Uzbekistan and China in the field of trade and economy, investment, agriculture, construction, textiles and tourism.

Speaking at the event, Yang Yanyan, Chairman of the Guangxi International Trade Promotion Committee, noted that Uzbekistan is an important trading partner of China. "The Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Uzbekistan have great opportunities for cooperation in such areas as equipment manufacturing, mineral resources, agricultural technologies, cotton spinning, tourism," he said.

During the event, B2B and G2B negotiations were organized between business representatives of Uzbekistan and China. During the meetings, agreements were reached on the implementation of projects in areas of mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields. In particular, a memorandum on mutual cooperation was signed between the Guangxi Committee for the Promotion of International Trade and the Chamber of Commerce of the Khorezm region.

The Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region is located in southern China and has a population of more than 50 million people. The administrative center and largest city is Nanning. In 2023, the volume of gross domestic product approached 400 billion US dollars. This region ranks first in China in the cultivation of tropical fruits.
