Uzbekistan's tourism and investment potential is represented in Hong Kong

The Embassy of Uzbekistan in China presented a presentation of investment, export and tourism opportunities of our country in Hong Kong, a major financial center of the People's Republic of China.

The event was attended by representatives of the Hong Kong Administration and the Trade Development Council, about 200 companies, trade and economic, tourism associations and banks in the region.

The audience was told about the large-scale reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan today and the opportunities created for investors. The event also included an exchange of views on the country's tourism potential and prospects for developing cooperation in this area.

Businessmen from Hong Kong have shown great interest in visiting Uzbekistan, in particular, participating in the III Tashkent International Investment Forum, which will be held on May 2-3.

Representatives of Chinese business who spoke at the event noted that they welcome the policy of openness and progressive reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan. In their opinion, as a result of these changes, new opportunities for the rapid development of our country appear. They expressed interest in investing in the economy of Uzbekistan and implementing mutually beneficial business projects.

Hong Kong is one of the largest financial centers in China with a population of 7.5 million people. In 2023, the GDP amounted to 383 billion dollars. Hong Kong is one of the world's leading exporters of textiles, clothing, electronic devices, components, watches, toys and other goods. Today, the service sector accounts for more than 90 percent of Hong Kong's GDP.
