The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan got acquainted with a large carpet enterprise in Khiva

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev visited the Khiva Gilamlari carpet factory.

Established in 2020, the $24 million enterprise annually produces 4.2 million square meters of carpets and carpet products, which are exported to the United States, China, Russia, Kazakhstan and other CIS countries.

The plant has modern equipment from Germany, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, France and Turkey. 750 people are provided with jobs.

The Presidents got acquainted with the production process and the showroom, as well as the exhibition of Uzbek products under the brand "Made in Uzbekistan" organized on the territory of the plant.

Relevant ministries and departments have been instructed to share experiences and develop cooperation and trade.
