Culture, education and tourism of Uzbekistan are represented at Peking University



A festive event was held at Peking University on the occasion of Navruz.

The professors and lecturers of the university who took part in the event congratulated all participants on the holiday and introduced them to the activities of the university and its cooperation in the field of education with higher educational institutions of Central Asian countries.

The festival was attended by representatives of the diplomatic missions of the Central Asian countries in Beijing, journalists and bloggers, as well as more than 300 Central Asian and Chinese students studying at this university.

Speaking at the event, representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan reported that the Navruz holiday was included by UNESCO in the list of intangible cultural heritage in 2009 as an integral part of the cultural heritage of mankind. On February 19, 2010, at the 64th session of the UN General Assembly, March 21 was declared the International Day of Navruz.

Liu Xin, Director of the Department of International Relations of the Chinese International Youth Exchange Center, stressed that the parties pay great attention to strengthening exchange and cooperation between higher education institutions, and highly appreciated the results of the Uzbek-Chinese Educational Forum held on January 22 this year in Beijing with the participation of more than 100 universities.

Diplomats of our country and fellow students of this university presented the cultural and tourist potential of Uzbekistan as part of the festive event. They organized the national stand of Uzbekistan. The presentation emphasized that in recent years, cooperation between Uzbekistan and China has been expanding in the fields of education, science, culture, public diplomacy, sports and tourism, and the friendly exchange of educational and educational institutions, creative teams and youth has been strengthened.
