The leaders of Uzbekistan and Russia discussed issues of practical implementation of agreements at the highest level

On February 21, as part of the program of the working visit to Kazan, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

At the beginning of the conversation, the head of our state sincerely congratulated the President of Russia on holding the first international "Games of the Future" combining traditional and esports.

Topical issues on the bilateral agenda were discussed, including the practical implementation of the agreements reached at the highest level in Moscow on October 5-7 last year.

The leaders of the two countries noted with satisfaction the consistent strengthening of Uzbek-Russian relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance.

The fruitful results of the meetings of the intergovernmental commission, interregional, educational, medical forums, and a number of other business and cultural events held in 2023 were highly appreciated.

The positive dynamics in trade turnover remains. Projects in the field of industry, energy, transport, chemistry, pharmaceuticals and other industries are in the active phase of implementation. 
Special attention is paid to stimulating cooperation between the regions.

Himgrad industrial technoparks are successfully operating in Tashkent and Jizzakh regions. New innovation parks "Alabuga" and "Master" are being created in the Bukhara and Navoi regions.

The Heads of state discussed issues of joint development of efficient transport corridors and deepening cooperation in the field of railway transport.

There was also an exchange of views on the regional agenda, and the schedule of upcoming international events was considered.
