Representatives of the Yangi Khayet mahalla told the head of state about the living conditions of people.
More than 3.5 thousand people live here. There are preschools, schools and colleges with conditions for quality education. Residents are employed in mountain recreation areas, industrial enterprises and private farms.
In addition, there are more than ten guest houses, about twenty shops, hairdressers, service centers. Last year, more than a hundred unemployed residents of the mahalla were employed for permanent and seasonal work. Another 181 citizens became self-employed.
According to the decree of the President of Uzbekistan dated December 21, 2023, the role of the mahalla institute in society and in solving the problems of the population as a primary link has been strengthened. The "seven mahallas" were formed, including the chairman of the mahalla, an assistant to the khokim, an activist for women's affairs, a youth leader, a prevention inspector, a tax officer and a social service worker.
The Head of State spoke with representatives of this system.
- From the first day we started a dialogue with the people, we strive to make the people happy. Therefore, we are developing the mahalla system as a primary link. The mahalla is the foundation of civil society. This is the voice of the people. Representatives of the state in the mahalla, using the powers and means provided, must change their worldview and respond to people's requests. I believe that Yangi Khayet will become an example for Uzbekistan," Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
The President also visited Makhalla, trade and service points.
