On February 13, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Chairman of the Board of the largest Hungarian OTP bank, Sandor Chanyi.
During the meeting, the positive dynamics of cooperation in the banking and financial sector was noted with satisfaction, including within the framework of the completed transaction for the sale of the state share in Ipoteka Bank to OTP Group.
The Head of our state stressed the importance of improving the quality of the bank's services by digitalizing them, introducing innovative and affordable financial products for small and family businesses, and training staff in the best European practices.
Issues of further deepening cooperation with leading Hungarian enterprises in the field of agriculture, winemaking, irrigation, chemistry, pharmaceuticals and other industries were also considered, including on the basis of a special economic zone being created for Hungarian companies in the Tashkent region.
In turn, Sandor Chanyi confirmed the intention of the Hungarian business to actively expand its presence in the market of our country.
At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Management Board of OTP Bank expressed deep gratitude to the leader of Uzbekistan for the high assessment of his activities and the presentation of the state award – the Order of "Dostlik".
