The fruitful state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the People's Republic of China has concluded.
On January 24, negotiations took place in the city of Beijing between the Leader of our state and the Chairman of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping. As a result of these discussions, the leaders issued a Joint Statement and signed a substantial package of bilateral documents.
During the first day of the visit, there were also meetings with the Premier of the State Council of China Li Keqiang, and the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Li Zhanshu. Negotiations were held with the heads of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, CNPC, and CITIC corporations, as well as the Export-Import Bank of China.
The second day of the state visit was marked by business events in the innovative city of Shenzhen, China. President Mirziyoyev discussed interregional cooperation with the Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangdong Province Hu Chunhua.
The Leader of our country participated in the Uzbek-Chinese Investment Forum, which brought together over 600 representatives of major businesses, and also held meetings with the heads of the Silk Road Fund, SANY and CSG companies.
Visiting the headquarters and technological center of BYD, a leading global electric vehicle manufacturer, the Head of our State launched joint production of hybrid and electric vehicles in Jizzakh region.
After all, the program of events for the state visit to China concluded. At the airport, the high-ranking officials of Guangdong Province bid farewell to the esteemed guest, and the Leader of our state departed for Tashkent.
