On January 9, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with a presentation on the development of trade and services infrastructure, construction of cultural and tourism facilities.
The relevant instructions were given at a video conference held on December 18 last year. In particular, it was pointed out the need to effectively use the large tourist potential of our country, increase the number of tourist sites and guest accommodation.
At the presentation today, the projects developed in accordance with these tasks are considered.
The picturesque mountain landscape of Shakhrisabz district of Kashkadarya region, Parkent district of Tashkent region attract the attention of numerous tourists, especially in the spring and summer season. In order to expand the conditions for tourists, it is planned to build modern recreation centers in the villages of Miraki in Shakhrisabz, Nurobod and Kumushkon in the Parkent district.
It also provides for the organization of hostels made of lightweight structures on the Maidanak plateau in the Kashkadarya region, the conversion of existing buildings for trade and services, and landscaping.
Markets are one of the centers of attraction for tourists. But today some of our markets are not attractive for tourists, they lack national flavor.
In this regard, the head of state was instructed to develop a project of market complexes reflecting our national culture. At today's presentation, preliminary projects were considered to transform the markets of historical cities into complexes attractive to tourists.
- It is necessary to turn the markets into a "business card" of the country, preserving their unique features. Food, clothing, jewelry stores, gastronomic and entertainment establishments should harmoniously complement each other and attract buyers and tourists," Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
The importance of studying the relevant experience of Turkey and Arab countries and attracting foreign specialists to design was noted.
The presentation also provides information about the markets that are planned to be built in such tourist centers as Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva. The Head of State gave instructions on reflecting the color of the regions in the projects, creating wide conditions for tourists.
At a meeting of the Republican Council for Spirituality and Enlightenment, the President raised the issue of improving the activities of the Tashkent State Circus. At today's presentation, plans were considered for the renovation of the building of this cultural institution, as well as the construction of an educational building with 300 seats in order to integrate education and practice in the training of circus art personnel.
The Head of State gave instructions on the completion and high-quality implementation of projects.
