Having visited Uzbekneftegaz Joint Stock Company on November 22 this year, the head of our state defined the tasks for the development of promising geological sites.
At the meeting held today, the responsible heads of the sphere reported on the progress of these tasks, provided information on the program of exploration and production works for 2024.
It was noted that the work is being carried out in two directions – maintaining gas production volumes at existing fields and identifying new reserves. In recent years, the depth of geological research has been increased from 2-3 kilometers to 4-5 kilometers. As a result, new gas reserves were discovered and an additional 4.4 billion cubic meters of this raw material were extracted.
An international consulting company was also involved, with the assistance of which it was possible to identify many promising sites.
In continuation of this work, next year it is planned to carry out seismic work on an area of 3.5 thousand square kilometers and drill new exploration wells.
The meeting discussed the issue of attracting foreign investment and providing working capital to enterprises in the industry.
The ways of transition to geological drilling to a depth of 6-7 kilometers with the use of advanced technologies are considered.
The importance of uninterrupted energy supplies, as well as ensuring payment discipline in the regions and at large enterprises, was emphasized.
