On December 15, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the report on the work done this year and priorities for next year in the field of youth policy.
Over the past period, measures have been implemented in 7 areas. 396 thousand young people who need special attention from the state are assigned to responsible managers, 331 thousand of them have been assisted in realizing their potential through individual work. In particular, 94 thousand people were employed, 56 thousand were trained in professions.
The number of types of assistance provided through the "youth notebook" has been increased to 30, and the period for consideration of requests for help has been reduced from 30 days to 5 days.
This year, on the recommendation of youth leaders, 338 thousand boys and girls received financial assistance in the amount of 444 billion soums. In particular, students' contracts were paid, expenses for teaching foreign languages and modern professions were covered. Unemployed youth are provided with working tools.
A youth employment program has been implemented in each mahalla, as a result, 236 thousand unemployed young people and 189 thousand school graduates have been employed this year.
Since this year, the "Olympiad of Five Initiatives" has been launched at 4 levels – between districts, schools, vocational education institutions and universities, in total 12 million young people took part in it. 623 sports grounds were built in the mahallas of the winners of the Olympiad.
In order to support young talents, the first round-the-clock "Creative Park" has been launched at the Palace of Youth Creativity in Tashkent. 2 million young people are involved in the game "Zakovat" and other intellectual competitions.
The President was also informed about the organization of the Tudakul international chess school in Navoi region.
The school, which has received a modern infrastructure, is able to teach 1.7 thousand children and cover 7.5 thousand young people a year with various activities. All conditions have been created here for international competitions, such as the World and Asian Championships, and the Universiades.
The Head of our state instructed to invite international grandmasters to this school, attract talented children from remote areas, and organize short-term chess camps for them with the issuance of appropriate certificates. It was noted that the school should become a model and methodological basis for teaching chess to all secondary schools in the country, it is necessary to introduce digital solutions into the process of conducting chess lessons.
The meeting also considered priority tasks in the field of youth work for 2024.
A new approach to working with young people will be introduced in each region, ministry and department. The types of assistance provided on the recommendation of the youth leader will be transformed, the main focus will be on training young people in modern professions.
In order to develop the abilities, interests and talents of children, as well as their full support, it is proposed to create a Children's organization of Uzbekistan. The need to improve scientific and analytical work on the study of youth problems and the training of promising personnel was noted.
Next year, measures will be taken to increase the number of young people studying foreign languages under the Ibrat Farzandlari project to 1 million, and the number of young readers under the Mutolaa program to 1.5 million. To do this, additional infrastructure will be built in the regions, it is planned to create broader conditions for meaningful leisure activities, the realization of talent and abilities of young people.
