At the invitation of the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on November 30 – December 2, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Dubai to participate in the United Nations Conference on Climate Change.
The global climate summit will be attended by heads of State and Government from more than 150 countries, heads of reputable international organizations and financial institutions.
The agenda of the event includes issues of implementing the main provisions of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change, countering modern environmental challenges and threats, and broad international cooperation to promote the goals and objectives of "green" development.
It is envisaged that the head of our state will make a report at the plenary session of the summit, as well as hold a number of bilateral meetings and negotiations.
It should be noted that the Republic of Uzbekistan joined the UN Framework Convention in 1993. In 2018, our country became a party to the Paris Agreement.
