On November 21, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation of measures to improve the quality of services of the Tashkent metro.
In order to expand the metro network, an additional 32 kilometers of lines have been built in recent years, and 21 new stations have been commissioned. 15 modern metro trains have been delivered. The new routes ran through the Yashnabad, Mirabad, Sergeli, Yangikhaet and Yunusabad districts of the capital, which made it easier for residents to move.
Today, the number of metro passengers has increased 5 times, and the number of daily trips has reached 720 thousand. The arrival time of trains during rush hours has been reduced from 5-7 minutes to 2 minutes.
At the meeting, the responsible persons of the spheres of transport and construction presented information about the current state of the metro and plans for the future.
The Head of State gave instructions to improve the quality of metro services, ease of movement and safety at stations. The necessity of updating the car fleet and replacing the cars that have spent their service life, ensuring a two-minute interval is emphasized.
Proposals for the transformation of the Tashkent metro and an increase in its revenue were considered.
