The leaders of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan discussed issues on the bilateral agenda

On the sidelines of the summit of the Economic Cooperation Organization, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

The Heads of state considered issues of further strengthening of Uzbek-Tajik relations of good neighborliness, strategic partnership and alliance.

The importance of continuing coordinated work, including within the framework of the Intergovernmental Commission, to increase mutual trade, promote cooperation projects in mechanical engineering, energy, electrical engineering, textile and other industries was noted.

Special attention is paid to the expansion of regional business partnership and cultural and humanitarian exchange.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan also reviewed the schedule of upcoming events.
