The President of Uzbekistan noted the importance of expanding practical partnership within the ECO

On November 8, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) Khusrav Noziri.

The issues of further development of practical cooperation within the framework of the association, as well as improving the effectiveness of this multilateral structure, were considered.

The Head of our state noted the great potential for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation, primarily through the implementation of joint projects and programs in the field of trade, transport, investment, innovation, ecology, tourism.

The Secretary General expressed sincere gratitude for Uzbekistan's active participation in ECO activities and the preparation at a high level of the next ECO summit, which will be held for the first time in Tashkent under the motto "Together for economic stability and development".

The consistent implementation of our country's initiatives put forward during the Ashgabat Summit in 2021 was noted with deep satisfaction.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the agenda of the upcoming Tashkent meeting of the leaders of the ECO states.
