The President of Uzbekistan warmly said goodbye to the President of France

The fruitful Uzbek-French summit has ended. 

During the two-day stay of the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a number of joint events took place in ancient and beautiful Samarkand.

On November 1, the heads of state met at Registan Square and walked around Samarkand at night together, also visiting the Eternal City Park.

Today, high-level talks were held in narrow and expanded formats, following which the leaders agreed to bring interstate relations to the level of strategic partnership. A joint statement was adopted, a number of intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents were signed. 

The heads of state took part in the opening of a joint business forum with the participation of representatives of leading French companies and banks.

In the afternoon, the Presidents planted a tree together at the Samarkand Congress Center, got acquainted with the exhibition of the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan. The opening of the branch of the French Alliance in Samarkand took place.

The French delegation got acquainted with the historical and architectural gems of Samarkand with great interest.

At the end of the visit, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev conducted the visit at the airport of President Emmanuel Macron. The heads of state warmly said goodbye to each other.
