Cultural and tourism potentials of Uzbekistan presented in Beijing

An international festival of culture was held at Beijing Jiaotong University.

The festival was attended by about 40 foreign diplomatic missions in China, more than 30 media representatives and bloggers, as well as about 2 thousand local and foreign teachers and students. Vice-President of the University Zhao Peng spoke in detail about the activities of the university and the relations of international cooperation.

The national stand created jointly by the Embassy of our country and Uzbek students presents information about the tourism potential of Uzbekistan, Uzbek songs are performed and our national costumes are presented.

The participants of the festival were able to see the preparation and taste Uzbek pilaf.

The diplomats also informed the participants of the event about the results of the reforms implemented by our government in the field of tourism development in recent years.

In particular, the opportunities created in our country to attract Chinese tourists were discussed.

It was noted that since March 1, 2021, a system of visa–free stay of Chinese citizens in Uzbekistan has been established for up to 10 days, while flights from the Chinese cities of Beijing, Xi'an, Urumqi, Chengdu to the regions of Uzbekistan - Tashkent and Samarkand - are carried out 16 times a week.

Following the results of the event, information materials about Uzbekistan in Uzbek, Chinese and English were distributed to the participants, which aroused the keen interest of the festival participants.
