Karshi district will receive a new hospital

During the trip to Kashkadarya, the head of our state unscheduled visited the central polyclinic of the Karshi district Medical Association.

The institution was built in the 60-70s of the last century. The hospital is designed for 228 patients, the polyclinic is capable of receiving 250 people. Currently, they serve 243 thousand residents of the district. But the local conditions do not correspond to such coverage and the requirements of the time. Some equipment needs to be updated.

The President visited medical departments and wards, examined the real situation, talked with patients.

- The purpose of our visit today is to make the lives of 3.5 million people in Kashkadarya better, accelerate the development of industry, agriculture, and the social sphere. Driving by, I decided to find out what the situation was at the hospital. Making decisions after seeing the situation in person, talking to ordinary people is my biggest goal. When medicine and education are at the proper level, people will be satisfied. We have improved hospitals in many places. But I don't like the situation in the Karshi district. Judging by what I saw today, a decision has been made to build a new hospital here," Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

Responsible persons were instructed to make a proposal on the location and project of the future medical complex. It will be equipped with the most modern equipment and will be provided with medicines free of charge. A group of doctors and nurses working in the district medical association will be sent to improve their skills abroad. The new polyclinic will also become a training and practical center for employees of other district hospitals.

During the visit, the issues of increasing the potential of personnel and the quality of medical care, putting the hospital territory in order were also touched upon.
