Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is getting acquainted with new infrastructure facilities and the preparations for the autumn-winter season in Tashkent.
In recent years, the capital has been growing both in population and in new territories. In accordance with this, the capabilities of the infrastructure are also increasing.
In particular, a new substation has been built in Shaikhantakhur district, near the Pakhtakor stadium. As part of the project, more than 19 kilometers of cable were stretched from the Traktorsoz substation and 2 transformers were installed. The facility will be commissioned next month. As a result, an additional power source with a capacity of 130 megawatts will appear in the center of the capital. The load on other substations in the city will decrease, the probability of emergency situations will be reduced by 60 percent.
Here, the head of state got acquainted with a presentation on construction and modernization in the power supply system of the city of Tashkent. It was reported that 5 more substations are currently under construction and 4 are being upgraded, they will provide a total of 850 megawatts of power.
