The President of Uzbekistan supported plans to expand the activities of Indorama Corporation in our country

On October 11, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the Singapore company Indorama Corporation headed by its founder and Chairman Sri Prakash Lohia.

The issues of further development of mutually beneficial cooperation with a leading Singapore company, which is a major investor and an important technological partner in the development of chemical, textile and agricultural sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan, were considered.

It should be noted that in our country "Indorama Corporation" has implemented major investment projects aimed at the cultivation and deep processing of cotton fiber. The Kokand Superphosphate Plant is being modernized.

The Head of our state supported the plans of the Singapore investor to implement new projects in Uzbekistan, including projects to expand the capacities of Ferganaazot, privatize industry enterprises, and organize modern production facilities in the textile and agricultural sectors.

As a result of the implementation of these projects, the total volume of direct investments of the company in our country will increase from the current 600 million to 850 million dollars.

The importance of adopting a joint "roadmap" to promote priority investment cooperation projects was noted.
