The President of Uzbekistan took part in the opening of the World Exhibition in Doha

As part of the program of the state visit to Qatar, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the opening ceremony of the World Exhibition "EXPO Doha – 2023".

Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, heads of State and Government of Iraq, Yemen and a number of other countries participated in the solemn event.

EXPO Doha is the first global "green" exhibition held in the region. The event is held under the motto: "Green desert, the best environment" and will last until March next year.

The forum participants got acquainted with the expositions of advanced technologies and achievements in the field of environmental protection, ecosystem development, the introduction of "smart" agriculture, the cultivation of new types of agricultural crops, the creation of innovative gardens and other areas.

The national pavilion of Uzbekistan, organized within the framework of the exhibition, presented the latest technologies in the field of intensive agriculture and animal husbandry, environmental management, presentations of horticultural and food industries of the country.
