The President of Uzbekistan received the head of the leading investment department of Qatar

As part of the business program of the state visit to Qatar, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Director of the Qatar Investment Agency Bandar bin Saud Al Thani.

The agency is one of the leading investment holdings at the global level with extensive experience in promoting major projects in the field of industry, infrastructure development, energy, real estate, and electronic technologies. The head of the department is also the chairman of the Central Bank of Qatar.

During the meeting, the issues of attracting direct investments of the agency in the implementation of investment projects, such as the construction of "green" energy facilities - solar and wind power plants in the regions of the country, modernization of transport infrastructure, including the construction of modern air terminals, and others were thoroughly discussed.

Interest was expressed in the exchange of experience in the development of advanced banking and financial services, including within the framework of Islamic financing programs.

It was agreed that a meeting of the bilateral group for the implementation of joint projects will be held in the near future.
