On September 18, as part of the program of a working visit to the United States, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the Chairman of the American-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce Carolyn Lamm.
The meeting was also attended by the heads of corporations GE Healthcare, Oppenheimer, Cerberus, CNH and Cintana.
The Leader of Uzbekistan congratulated the participants of the meeting on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the American-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce, emphasizing the key role of this structure in expanding bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation.
The fruitful results of the joint business forum held on September 15 this year in Washington with the participation of representatives of more than 250 US companies and banks were noted with great satisfaction.
Chairman of the Chamber Carolyn Lamm expressed sincere gratitude to the head of our state for political leadership in the implementation of the program of irreversible reforms in Uzbekistan, which contributes to the growth of interest and confidence of American business in the country. It is noted that over the past few years, the chamber has included the largest US companies, their total number has reached 50.
During the meeting, specific plans of American business to expand activities in our country were discussed.
Following the meeting, agreements were reached on the adoption of "road maps" for the implementation of joint projects.
