The President of Uzbekistan discussed the prospects for the implementation of investment projects jointly with Oppenheimer

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting in New York with John Tonelli, Managing Director of the leading investment company Oppenheimer.

The prospects for the implementation of projects in our country with the involvement of the capital of this large investment bank with assets of $ 36 billion were considered.

John Tonelli noted with satisfaction the agreements reached on attracting private investment in major projects for the creation and modernization of industrial facilities in the country.

At the first stage, we are talking about financing projects for the development of textile clusters, enterprises in the construction materials industry, and infrastructure development of the city of Tashkent.

In addition, it provides for the direction of investments to support small and medium-sized businesses.

The President of our country approved these plans and instructed the responsible persons to start practical work as soon as possible.
