The leaders of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan discussed topical issues of the bilateral agenda

The program of the stay of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Dushanbe began with a meeting with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

Topical issues of further strengthening of Uzbek-Tajik relations of strategic partnership and alliance were discussed.

Particular attention is paid to the practical aspects of the implementation of agreements at the highest level, primarily the promotion of cooperation projects in priority sectors of the economy and the expansion of the cultural and humanitarian exchange program.

In this regard, the productive activities of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission were noted with satisfaction.

During the meeting, the heads of state exchanged views on issues included in the agenda of the next Consultative Meeting of the leaders of the Central Asian countries and the summit of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea.

Other aspects of regional cooperation were also considered.
