Export opportunities and investment potential of Surkhandarya region are represented in China

As part of the visit of the delegation of Surkhandarya region to China, a business forum was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Beijing.

The event was attended by heads and representatives of Chinese chambers of Commerce and industry, leading companies and organizations, and the media.

The forum participants were presented with a detailed presentation on the export opportunities and investment potential of Surkhandarya region, as well as favorable conditions created in the free economic and industrial zones of the region.

In particular, it was noted that the Termez free economic zone was created in order to further develop effective trade, transport and logistics relations with neighboring countries. It was indicated here that 120 investment projects are planned to create large enterprises in the field of industrial production.

At the same time, it was noted that today cooperation between the Surkhandarya region and the regions of China is actively developing. By the end of 2022, the foreign trade turnover of Surkhandarya region with Chinese partners amounted to 77 million US dollars, and the amount of investments attracted from China reached 102.5 million dollars.

The presentation of the International Trade Center "Termez" was also held within the framework of the forum.

During the bilateral meetings, agreements were reached on the implementation of projects in areas of mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields, including cooperation agreements signed between Surkhandarya region and a number of leading Chinese companies.

- Today's forum is dedicated to the development potential of Surkhandarya region. As the world's leading producer of solar energy, we support cooperation between China and the countries of Central Asia. We have projects in Uzbekistan.
