The first tractor was produced in the cluster of agricultural machinery

The cluster was created in accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated November 11, 2021. The capacities of 5 machine-building enterprises have been optimized and a full-cycle cluster system has been created on the basis of the Chirchik Agricultural Machinery Plant. For this purpose, new structures with an area of 38 thousand square meters were built and more than 35 thousand square meters of existing buildings were repaired.

The cluster is capable of producing 15 thousand tractors, trailers and other equipment per year. Employment of 1 thousand jobs has been provided. Another important aspect is the expansion of cooperation between industry enterprises, reducing costs and production costs.

Recently, the first domestic product was released in the cluster — a universal tractor. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the first cars.

The production of a combine harvester is also being launched. The importance of continuing work in this direction, localization of imported products, and involvement of the private sector in this process was emphasized.

- There is a great demand for machinery in our agriculture. We need affordable, domestic, economical equipment. This requires work on localization and cost. If we do not supply dehkan with inexpensive equipment, there will be no interest," Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

The Head of State stressed the importance of technical maintenance of equipment.

It is emphasized that the cluster should not only sell, but also service equipment.

The task is to create service centers and organize high-quality service on the example of the Tashkent region, to train young people to repair equipment for free.

In the cluster, special attention is paid to the integration of science and production, a modern scientific center has been opened. In cooperation with educational centers of German and Swedish companies, training of specialists in the form of continuous dual education has been established here. At the same time, students of higher educational institutions consolidate their internship in the cluster.

The President examined the samples of products and talked with specialists.

- Currently, in the field, in clusters, the volume of machine cotton harvesting is approaching 50 percent. For 6 months of this year, we exported fruits and vegetables worth more than 550 million dollars, and in the near future we want to increase it to 2-3 billion. There are many more projects in all branches of agriculture. They need high-quality, affordable equipment to increase productivity and facilitate people's work," the President said.

Special attention in the cluster is paid to the use of alternative energy sources. In particular, solar panels are installed on an area of 20 thousand square meters. This can cover up to 30 percent of the cluster's electricity needs.
