Last year, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the construction of the Yangi Uzbekistan array in the city of Fergana. During the current trip to the region, the head of state again examined the progress of work.
Today, construction is being intensively carried out on a vast territory of 300 hectares. It is planned to build 298 apartment buildings here, designed for more than 65 thousand residents. This is of great social importance for the densely populated city of Ferghana and the entire region.
73 houses are being built this year. The first of them have already been put into operation.
Schools, preschool and medical institutions, trade and consumer service points, a sports complex will also be located on the territory of the array. A small industrial area of 50 hectares will play an important role in providing local residents with jobs.
The array will be a kind of eco–town - on the territory of 70 hectares it is planned to create a park "Yangi Uzbekistan" and an artificial lake. Vacant lots will be landscaped. An alley will be created around the reservoir.
During the familiarization, the Head of State gave instructions on attracting investors to socio-economic projects on the territory of the massif, organizing a wide range of services.
With this, the President completed his trip to the Fergana region and returned to Tashkent.
