The Head of our state visited the Khitoy mahalla of the Bagdad district of the Ferghana region and got acquainted with the life of the residents.
About 2.8 thousand people live here. Local residents effectively use their homesteads. Women earn money by sewing. Animal husbandry, poultry farming, fish farming are well developed.
There are more than ten shops, a furniture company, a barber shop, a sewing and handicraft workshops in the mahalla. There are good conditions for youth sports. Over the past two years, not a single crime has been recorded in the mahalla.
The Head of our state visited the house of Abdugaffor Khalilov and had a sincere conversation with representatives of the mahalla.
- I am very glad to be here, to see with my own eyes how the development of Fergana is going, what conditions exist in the mahalla, - said Shavkat Mirziyoyev. - We organize all the work from below so that everyone can feel the reforms in their lives. There are 1062 mahallas in the Fergana region. Their problems, the needs of needy families need to be solved here, on the spot, so people will be happy with us. All leaders should change their worldview and work hard to serve our people with dignity.
Representatives of the older generation told how the appearance of the mahalla has changed in recent years, that the infrastructure has been improved within the framework of the Open Budget program. In particular, 5 kilometers of internal roads were covered with asphalt, the power grid and transformer were updated.
The President supported the proposals on the renovation of the Mahalla assembly building, the construction of an additional building for the school, and gave appropriate instructions. It was said about the importance of young people getting education and mastering a profession, meaningful organization of their leisure time.
