The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan exchanged views on topical issues of bilateral cooperation

On July 24, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Zhaparov.

The head of Kyrgyzstan cordially congratulated the head of our state on his birthday, warmly wishing peace, prosperity and sustainable development of Uzbekistan.

During the conversation, topical issues of further deepening of Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations of good neighborliness and comprehensive strategic partnership were discussed.

The results of the implementation of joint cooperation projects, including in the field of industry, automotive, textile and electrical industries, modernization of energy infrastructure and other areas of practical cooperation, were noted with particular satisfaction.

Special attention was paid to the preparation of a portfolio of new trade and investment projects within the framework of the activities of the Intergovernmental Commission.

The leaders of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan also reviewed the schedule of upcoming events at the highest level.
