The President of Uzbekistan discussed topical issues of the bilateral agenda with the President of Tajikistan

Topical issues of further strengthening of Uzbek-Tajik relations of strategic partnership and alliance were discussed during a telephone conversation between President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, held on July 24.

At the beginning of the conversation, the leader of Tajikistan cordially congratulated the head of our state on his birthday, sincerely wishing peace, prosperity and prosperity to the fraternal people of Uzbekistan.

The issues of preparation for the upcoming events at the highest level and filling the agenda of bilateral relations with concrete practical content were discussed.

The leaders expressed a common opinion on the importance of further intensifying business and humanitarian contacts, including holding joint exhibitions and fairs, as well as cultural and sports events with broad involvement of young people.

Issues of regional cooperation were discussed, including within the framework of regular Consultative meetings of the heads of Central Asian states and the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea.
