President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Hastim mahalla in the Almazar district of Tashkent.
More than 1.5 thousand people live in the mahalla. Most of the families are engaged in handicrafts and trade.
The Head of State got acquainted with the conditions in the houses, talked with the residents. Representatives of the older generation told about life in the mahalla, read a dua about peace and tranquility in our country, the well-being of our people.
As you know, in all regions of our country, the programs “Well-maintained Mahalla”, “Well-maintained Village” are being implemented, within the framework of which roads and engineering networks are being updated. And in this mahalla it is planned to improve the infrastructure on the basis of the “Comfortable House" program.
"Our goal and duty is to create decent conditions for every person," the President said.
The Head of State visited the handicraft workshop organized in the mahalla and a small exhibition. The responsible persons were given instructions to expand the self-employment of the population, the organization of points of trade and services for tourists.
