The President of Uzbekistan and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia discussed issues of further development of full-scale partnership relations

On July 19, on the sidelines of the first Summit of the leaders of the Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Gulf and Central Asia, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with Crown Prince, Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud.

The Crown Prince cordially congratulated the head of our state on his convincing victory in the presidential elections, wishing the multinational people of Uzbekistan peace, prosperity and prosperity.

In turn, the leader of our country expressed sincere gratitude to the leadership of Saudi Arabia for the conditions created for our citizens to perform Hajj and Umrah.  

During the talks, the current agenda of further deepening of Uzbek-Saudi relations was considered.

The intensification of mutual contacts and exchanges was noted with particular satisfaction.

The importance of unconditional implementation of the agreements and arrangements adopted during the bilateral summit in August last year was noted.

Since the beginning of the year, the volume of trade turnover has increased by 20 percent, the number of joint ventures has doubled. The implementation of important projects in the "green" energy sector with the participation of the leading company "Acwa Power" has begun. Major investment projects are being worked out in the field of "green hydrogen", petrochemistry, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, medicine, tourism and other industries.

There was also an exchange of views on international policy issues.
