The President of Uzbekistan noted the importance of full-scale implementation of the agreements of the Samarkand and Delhi SCO summits

On July 10, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Zhang Ming, who is in our country at the head of the SCO mission to monitor the preparation and conduct of presidential elections.

The SCO Secretary General sincerely congratulated the head of our state on the successful holding of the presidential elections and the convincing victory.

The issues of further development of multilateral cooperation between the SCO member states, as well as the practical implementation of the initiatives put forward during the Samarkand and Delhi summits of the Organization in 2022-2023 were discussed.

The importance of promoting joint programs and projects in the fields of economy, innovation and high technology, transport connectivity, food and energy security, ecology and green technologies, tourism and cultural exchanges, as well as ensuring security within the SCO was noted.

Special attention is paid to continuing the modernization of the SCO, improving the activities of the Organization's structures, as well as taking measures aimed at strengthening mutual trust and partnership in our vast region.
